About Us

First of all we are passionate about WiFi and wireless technologies!
Since the early days of WiFi we have been exploring, learning and playing around with all kinds of gadgets. Nowadays WiFi is almost everywhere. Therefore we thought it would be nice to create an application that gave people the necessary tools lo leverage this ubiquitous access, promoting its use and having fun at the same time.

Ferran Moreno, CEO and Co-Founder

Ferran Moreno is responsible for Whisher's strategic direction and day-to-day operations. He is a Spanish entrepreneur, Telecommunications Engineer and holds an MBA program from the London Business School. In 2000 he co-founded the first low cost residential WISP in Europe together with Swisscom, called Air Bites, where he served as CTO and which is now expanding in the European eastern countries. He began his career as radio engineer in Spain and then moved to Switzerland to work as technology consultant. His passions are football and motorbikes.



Mike Puchol, CTO and Co-Founder

Mike Puchol is responsible for the architecture and technical side of Whisher. Holding a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Salford, he developed his entrepreneurial facet by founding two companies in the security and telecommunications fields, developing the first advanced systems for digital radio networks. Also very active in the WiFi space since 2001, he has achieved a well-recognized status within many wireless and security communities for his knowledge and contributions. As a volunteer firefighter for ten years, he fights fires in and out of the office, and enjoys aviation and mountain sports.



David Douek

David Douek is responsible for European Business Development at Whisher. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in International Relations from the University of St Gallen and has participated in several start-ups in Shanghai, Madrid and Geneva. He also worked for several years at the Swisscoms international WISP subsidiary. In his spare time he enjoys dancing, squash and traveling.
